Process Cooling
Process cooling incorporates a wide range of applications. Some examples include:
- Blowing ambient air on a hot product in order to cool it down so it can be handled (such as heat treated metal components)
- Rejecting heat from "radiator coils" (such as from a compressor or engine)
- Freezer tunnels, refrigerated truck transport units, and refrigerated storage rooms for cold air delivery and recirculation.
In all cases, fans are used to deliver cool/cold air and remove heat. In some applications, fans and fan components require special alloy construction such as for sanitary cleaning cycles if they are in close proximity with food products. Other industrial applications require carbon steel construction and a quality baked powder coating.
